Progressive Abstractions

Starting from a snippet of a rehearsal for the ballet ‘Totality in Parts’ by Lukáš Timulak and Peter Biľak, and using the densepose library to extract the positions of the dancers, successive repetitions get more abstract:

• full body colored
• only heads, hands and feet colored
• represented by circles only
• plus body circle
• sinking into 3d space-time
